    1 1/2 cup(s) sugar
    1/2 cup(s) shortening
    2 eggs
    2 1/4 cup(s) pureed peaches
    2 cup(s) flour
    1 tsp cinnamon
    1 tsp baking powder
    1 tsp baking soda
    1/4 tsp salt
    1 tsp vanilla
    1 cup(s) finely chopped pecans

    Cream sugar and shortening together.Add eggs and mix thoroughly.Add peach puree and dry ingredients.Mix well.Add vanilla and chopped pecans and stir until blended.Pour into two greased and flouredloaf pans. Approximately 5 x 9 in size.Bake at 325degrees F for 55-60 minutes.Let bread cool a few minutes before removing from pan.Makes 2 loaves.

    Serves 12.
