    4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
    3 tablespoons snipped chives
    ½ teaspoon paprika (preferably Hungarian sweet)
    ½ teaspoon freshly ground pepper
    1/8 teaspoon red pepper flakes
    1 large baguette loaf, split horizontally

    Recipe



    Preheat oven to 400 F. Combine butter, chives, paprika, red pepper flakes and ground pepper in small bowl; mix well. Spread thin layer of butter mixture evenly over cut sides of baguette.

    Cut baguette halves into 3-inch wide pieces.

    Bake in a single layer on baking sheet until sizzling, about 10 to 12 minutes. Serve hot. Makes 8 servings.
