1/4 cup cooked quality breakfast sausage
2 slices toast and buttered rye bread
1/2 cup applesauce (sweetened or unsweetened)

Crumble sausage over each piece of bread. Cover with the applesauce and place under the broiler for about 1 minute and watch carefully. Serve immediately.
