    Sausage and Apple Croissants

    1/2 pound pork sausage
    1 large baking apple peeled and cored
    1/4 teaspoon curry powder
    black pepper to taste
    1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
    1/4 cup water
    1 teaspoon flour
    4 croissants split nearly in half

    Brown and crumble sausage just until pink is gone. Drain and rinse meat and set aside. Slice apples. Combine with curry, pepper and cinnamon in skillet. Cook over medium-low heat, stirring and mashing until apples are softened. Add meat. Combine flour and water, blending well. Add to meat mixture and stir to thicken over low heat. Adjust seasonings. Fill croissants. May be served warm or cold.
