    1 cocktail glass gin
    Dash of dry vermouth
    Dash of orange bitters (optional)
    Twist of lemon peel

    Stir the gin and vermouth (and orange bitters if desired) with ice in a mixing glass. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Twist the lemon peel, skin side down, over the drink before dropping it in. You can also decorate this cocktail with olives instead of lemon peel. Small pearl onions may also be used in a dry Martini, which results in a Gibson.
