    3 1/2 cups purified water
    1/2 cup fresh ginger root, grated
    2 tablespoons lemon juice
    2 tablespoons vanilla
    1/2 teaspoon stevia powder (a natural herb sweetener, available in natural food stores)
    6 ounces chilled sparkling water per serving

    Recipe



    In a large pan, bring ginger and purified water to a rapid boil over medium-high heat. Boil for 10 minutes. Remove from heat, strain out ginger pieces and pour liquid into a container.

    Stir in lemon juice, vanilla and stevia powder. Let cool.

    Store syrup in refrigerator. When ready to serve, mix 2 to 4 tablespoons of the syrup into a glass of sparkling water. Serve over ice.


    Serves 4
