2 cups wild blackberries, cleaned
1 cup sugar
2 cup vodka

Mash the blackberries and place them in a large, clean jar. Add the sugar and vodka and stir until the sugar is dissolved. Cover and store in a cool, dark place for 8 weeks, stirring and/or shaking once a week.

At the end of the 8 weeks, strain through a cheesecloth or a coffee filter into a clean bottle.

Makes: 1-1/2 pints
