2 cups sifted flour
1 tsp salt
4 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup shortening
3/4 cup 7-up
melted (lactose-free) Margarine
Sift dry ingredients into bowl, cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add 7-up all at once, stir until dry ingredients are evenly moistened. Turn onto lightly floured surface, knead quickly 10 times. Roll to 3/4" thickness. Allow to rest five minutes. Cut with lightly floured 2 inch cutter. Arrange on baking sheet. Brush lightly with melted butter. Bake 10-12 minutes in a 450 degree oven or until golden brown.
