1 tbsp. yeast
5 tbsps. lukewarm water
2 cups buttermilk (or sour milk), warmed
5 cups whole wheat flour (or white)
5 tsps. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
� tsp. baking soda
3 tbsps. sugar or honey
� cup butter
Dissolve yeast in water and milk. In another bowl mix dry ingredients. Cut in butter. Add yeast mixture,
knead slightly, roll out on floured board to � inch thickness. Cut with biscuit cutter or roll with hands.
Bake on greased cookie sheet at 450� for 10 min.
