• 2 cups unbleached flour
• 3 teaspoons baking powder
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1/4 cup shortening
• 3/4 cup beer
Recipe
Preheat oven to 450F. Sift dry ingredients together. Cut in shortening with a fork or pastry cutter until the mixture reaches the consistenty of cornmeal. Stir in beer. Knead dough lightly, then roll out to a thickness of 1/2 inch. Cut out biscuits and bake 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
