    1 lb. butter
    1 3/4 to 2 lb. flour
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. sour cream
    1 oz. yeast (proof in 1/4 c. milk, little sugar, flour)
    4 egg yolks, 1 white
    Add up to 1/4 c. milk if dough isn't soft enough
    salt

    Knead, let rest 30 min; roll, fold, rest
    30 min. Roll to 1" thick, cut in rounds.
    Mark # with fork, paint w/ egg white.
    Bake 15 min @ 375'F
