    2 cups flour (hard)
    2 Tablespoons sugar
    7 Tablespoons butter
    4 teaspoons baking powder
    2 eggs
    6 ounces raisins
    1/2 cup whipping cream
    1 teaspoon salt

    Recipe



    Mix flour, butter, sugar, baking powder and salt. Cut with pastry blender or in food processor. Add eggs slowly. Add raisins. Add cream, mix to smooth dough. Roll out to 1/2-inch thickness, shape into two 6-inch circles. Cut into pie wedges. Brush with egg beaten with 1 teaspoon water. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes.

    Makes: 8 to 10 scones
