    2 cups flour
    2 teaspoons baking powder
    2 Tablespoons sugar
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    3/4 cup butter
    1/3 to 1/2 cup of half & half
    1-1/2 cups dried fruits (if you desire)

    Recipe



    Combine dry ingredients. Cut in butter with a pastry blender until mixture resembles course meal. Stir in fruit if desire. Add half & half until soft dough is formed (just until moistened). Turn onto floured surface; knead 4 or 5 times. Pat into round circle 1-inch thick. Cut into 8 pie-shaped pieces, place on oiled cookie sheet, and bake in 400-degree oven for 8 to 10 minutes until golden brown.
