2 cups All Bran bran cereal
2 cups boiling water
1 cup plus 3 Tablespoons margarine
1-1/2 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 quart buttermilk
4 cups Bran-Buds
6 cups flour
5 teaspoons baking soda
2 teaspoons salt
Pour boiling water over the All Bran and set aside. In a very large mixing bowl, cream margarine with sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Blend in buttermilk. Add the All Bran/water mix. Add the Bran Buds.
Sift together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Add to the mixture. Combine everything. Turn into a large container, cover tightly, and store in refrigerator. Use as needed.
When making muffins, do not stir. Merely spoon into well-greased muffin pans just before baking. Set oven at 375 degrees. Bake for 16 minutes or until tops are firm.
