    1/2 cup of water
    2/3 cup of milk
    1 egg
    2 tablespoons of margarine or butter, cut up or shortening
    3 cups of bread flour
    1/2 cup of packaged instant mashed potato flakes or buds
    1 tablespoon of sugar
    3/4 teaspoon of salt
    1 teaspoon of active dry yeast or bread machine yeast

    Add the ingredients to your machine according to the manufacturer's directions. Select the basic white bread cycle. Makes 1 1/2 pound or 16 slices
