Very, Very Berry Muffins

1/2 cup soft butter
1-1/4 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 teaspoons baking powder
2-1/2 cups blueberries and/or raspberries
2-1/4 cups flour
1/2 cup milk
1/4 teaspoon salt
Recipe
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Spray muffin pans with non-stick spray. Beat butter until creamy. Beat in sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Beat in vanilla, baking powder, and salt. Fold in flour and milk, alternating. Fold in berries. Scoop batter into muffin tins. Top lightly with sugar and bake 25 to 30 minutes. Serve warm.
