A Very Different Corn Bread

2 cups chopped onion
1/4 cup margarine
1 (8-oz.) carton sour cream
1 cup cheddar cheese
1 1/2 cups self-rising corn meal
1 T. sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 (8 3/4-oz.) can cream corn
1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup vegetable oil
Recipe
Saute onion in margarine until tender. Let cool. Stir in sour cream and 1/2 cup cheese. Set aside. Stir together remaining ingredients and pour into lightly greased 9-inch pan. Spread sour cream mixture over top and sprinkle on remaining cheese. Bake at 375 degrees until done.
