    Quick and Moist Beer Bread

    5 C. unsifted self-rising flour
    5 T. sugar
    1-1/2 C. sour cream
    1 (12 oz.) beer, at room temperature
    Melted butter to coat bread

    Recipe



    In large bowl, combine flour and sugar. Add sour cream and beer alternately; mix well. Pour batter into greased 2-quart round baking dish. Bake 45 minutes at 350*. Remove from oven and brush top of bread with butter. Return to oven and bake for 15-20 minutes or until done. Cool slightly. Serve warm. Can toast. Makes one loaf.
