    Sunday Morning Hot Rolls

    Source of Recipe

    Internet

    List of Ingredients

    3/4 cup sugar
    2 sticks butter or margarine
    2 teaspoons salt
    1 cup water or milk

    Recipe

Combine these ingredients in saucepan over low heat to melt butter. Cool to lukewarm about 100 to 120 degrees.

Dissolve: 2 envelopes powdered yeast in 1 cup lukewarm (100 to 120 degrees) water or milk. Add to first mixture. Be sure the liquid and butter mixture are lukewarm. Too hot will kill the yeast, too cool will not activate it (check package directions for accurate temperatures for the product you are using)

Beat two eggs and add to above. Stir in 6 cups unsifted flour. Place entire mixture in a greased bowl and cover with wax paper. Refrigerate several hours or overnight. Roll out on lightly floured board, cut and place about one inch apart on greased cookie sheets. Let rise about two hours in a warm place. BAKE @ 375 degrees until light golden brown, about 15 minutes. This dough will keep several days in refrigerator.
