Sunday Morning Lemon Loaf

1 Cup Margarine
2 Cups Sugar
3 Tablespoons Lemon Juice
4 Eggs
3 Cups Flour
2 Teaspoons Baking Powder
3/4 Teaspoons Salt
1/2 Cup Evaporated Milk
1/2 Cup Milk
Grated Peel of Two Lemons
Glaze:
1 Cup Sugar
1/2 Cup Lemon Juice
Recipe
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray two loaf pans. Cream margarine with sugar until well blended. Add Eggs and beat. Mix remaining dry ingredients together. Alternate adding dry ingredients/liquids to the creamed butter, beating well after each addition.
Pour into prepared pans and bake 1 hour. Cool cake in pans for approximately 30 minuted. Meanwhile, mix together the lemon juice and sugar for the glaze. After cooling, puncture the top of loaves with a long, thin instrument(such as a cake tester) at about a quarter inch intervals. Pour glaze over cake and let set for about an hour. Serve, cutting loaf straight from pan.
