Apple Cinnamon Oven French Toast

1 loaf of Amish Apple Bread or Pepperidge Farm Cinnamon Bread
8 large eggs
2 cups milk
2 cups half and half
2 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp each fresh ground netmeg & cinnamon
1 can apple pie filling Recipe
Topping
3/4 cup (11/2 stick) unsalted butter
1 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup knotts apple cinnamom syrup or any other apple cinnamon syrup
Heavily butter 9x13 baking pan. Fill with bread slices (completely cover bottom) Spread apple filling over slices. Add remaining bread over filling. Whisk together eggs, milk, half & half and spices. Pour over bread and filling. Cover tightly with plastic and foil. Refrigerate over night. Heat oven 350. For topping, melt butter, sugar and syrup. Pour over bread. Bake 40 minutes. Let rest 5 minutes. Cut, serve and enjoy.
