List of Ingredients
2 Tbs. plus 2 tsp. vegetable oil
3/4 onion, minced
3/4 green bell pepper, minced
1 clove garlic, minced
5 ounces lean ground beef
5 ounces lean ground pork
3 ounces ground ham
1/2 cup capers
3/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. black pepper
1/3 cup tomato sauce
2 Tbs. plus 2 tsp. dry red wine, optional
Recipe
In a heavy, nonreactive saucepan, heat oil and then add onion, garlic and green pepper. Sauté for a few minutes. Add beef, pork, and ham. Cook for a few minutes, stirring constantly. Add capers, salt, pepper, tomato sauce, and dry wine (optional). Cook on medium heat for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
