    1 loaf french bread (from the bakery, not the bread aisle)
    8 eggs
    2 c. milk
    1 1/2 c. half-and-half cream
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 tsp. cinnamon
    3/4 c. butter
    1 1/3 c. brown sugar
    3 tbl. light corn syrup
    pecans chips (optional)

    Butter a 9 x 13 baking dish. Slice the french bread into 1" thick slices. Arrange the bread slices in the baking dish. Beat together eggs, milk, half-and-half, vanilla and cinnamon. Pour this over the bread slices, cover the baking dish, and put in the refrigerator over-night. The next morning, melt together the butter, brown sugar and corn syrup. Heat until bubbly. Pour this over the bread and egg mixture. Sprinkle pecans over all and bake in a 350 degree oven for 40 minutes.
