Sausage, Apple, and Cornbread Breakfast

1 pkg. sausage links (14 links)
4 cups peeled and sliced apples
1/2 stick butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 pkg. Jiffy cornbread mix (1 egg & 1/3 cup milk mixed in)
Recipe
Brown sausage links in skillet. When browned, remove from skillet and set aside. In skillet with drippings, add butter and brown sugar. Melt butter and mix in the brown sugar. Add the apple slices and stir until coated. Cool apple mixture. Grease a square baking dish. Arrange the sausage links in rows. Add the apples. Mix the cornbread mix according to package directions. Put on top of the apples. Bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes. After removing from the oven, invert immediately onto platter.
