Chocolate Marshmallow Cake

1 stick butter
1c. sugar
6Tbsp. cocoa or 2 squares chocolate
3 eggs
3/4c. flour
1/2tsp. baking powder
pinch of salt
1tsp. vanilla
1c. slightly floured pecans
24 marshmallows
Recipe
Cream butter and sugar slightly. Add cocoa or melted chocolate. Add eggs one at a time beating each time an egg is added. Sift and add dry ingredients. Fold in vanilla and nuts.Bake in a greased and lightly floured 13x9 1/2x2 inch pan at 350 degrees for about 15 minutes.
Arrange 24 marshmallows on top of cake. Cut oven off. Put cake with marshmallows back in oven and let stay for about a minute. Push marshmallows down with a knife. Return to oven for another minute. Remove again from oven and flatten marshmallows out. Cool then ice in pan.
ICING:
1 stick butter
2 squares chocolate
pinch of salt
1/2tsp. vanilla
1lb. confectioners sugar
5Tbsp. warm milk
Cream butter add melted chocolate, salt and vanilla.Work in sugar and milk alternately. Cream well and add a little more milk if necessary for spreading consistency.
