Raisin Chocolate Cake

1/2 cup sweet butter, softened
1-1/4 cups sugar
1 egg
2 oz semi sweet chocolate, melted
2-1/2 cups cake flour (sifted)
2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. baking soda
pinch of salt
1/2 cup golden raisins
1-1/2 cups sour cream
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
Recipe
Butter 2 layers cake pans and dust with cocoa
Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg and beat well. Stir in the cooled chocolate
Sift dry ingredients together. Shake a little over the raisins (so the raisins don't fall to the bottom of cake batter). Beat the dry ingredients into butter mixture, alternately with sour cream. Add vanilla extract. Stir in raisins.
Pour in pans. Bake at 375� for 35 minutes. Cool in pans for 10 minutes
When cold, frost with fudge frosting
Note: you may use walnuts also. With this recipe I use English walnuts. These nuts are not bitter
