    1 box yellow cake mix
    1 (4 oz.) pkg. vanilla instant pudding mix
    1-1/3 cup water
    4 eggs
    1/4 cup oil
    2 cups flaked coconut
    1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

    Recipe



    Blend cake mix, pudding, water, eggs and oil in large mixing bowl
    Beat at medium speed with mixer for 4 minutes
    Stir in coconut and nuts
    Pour into 3 greased and floured 9 inch cake pans
    Bake at 350 for 35 minutes
    Cool in pans for 15 minutes
    Remove from pans and finish cooling on racks
    Frost with Coconut-Cream Cheese Frosting

    Coconut-Cream Cheese Frosting:

    4 Tbsp butter or margarine
    2 cups of flaked coconut
    1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese
    3-1/2 cups sifted confectionary sugar
    1/2 tsp vanilla
    2 tsp milk

    Melt 2 Tbsp butter in skillet
    Add coconut, stir constantly over low heat until golden brown
    Spread coconut on absorbent paper to cool
    Cream 2 Tbsp butter with cream cheese
    Add milk, beat in sugar gradually
    Blend in vanilla, stir in 1 3/4 cups of the coconut
    Spread on top of cake layers
    Stack and sprinkle with remaining coconut
