Grandma Bogey Chocolate Covered Cherries

24 maraschino cherries, drained
1/4 cup softened butter
1 tablespoon milk
21/4 cups confectioners sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
1 package (12 oz.) chocolate chips
1/4 bar paraffin wax
Recipe
Thoroughly cream butter with sugar and milk. Blend in vanilla and almond extracts. Mold a small amount of dough around each cherry, being careful that each cherry is completely covered. If dough is too sticky, add more confectioners sugar. Roll balls in hands and set on a plate. Chill balls for 3 to 4 hours.
Make coating by melting the chocolate chips and wax together over very low heat. Dip each cherry ball into coating, make sure it's completely covered. Chill for 20 minutes.
