Bob Bogey Green Bean Casserole

List of Ingredients
4 (10-ounce) boxes frozen French-style green beans, or 2 (16-ounce) cans, drained
1/2 pound mushrooms, sliced
1 large onion, chopped
1 stick margarine
1/4 cup flour
1 pint half-and-half
3/4 pound sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
1/8 teaspoon Tabasco
2 teaspoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
1 can water chestnuts, chopped
Chopped almonds or cracker crumbs
1-2 tablespoons butter, meltedRecipe
Cook beans; drain well. Cook mushrooms and onions in butter until done, but do not let onions brown. Add flour; mix well, then add cream and let thicken. Add cheese and stir until smooth. Add seasonings. Mix in beans and water chestnuts. Sprinkle top with either chopped almonds or cracker crumbs; drizzle with butter. Bake at 350 degrees until thoroughly heated, about 20 minutes. Serves 14.
