Chili Potato Casserole

1 tablespoon of salad oil
1 pound of ground beef
1 medium sized onion, chopped
1 large or 2 med. potatoes
One 15 1/2 ounce can of chili without beans
1 medium can of kidney beans
3 small tomatoes, sliced
3 or 4 slices bacon
Pour oil into bottom of a 3-quart casserole. Arrange a single layer of ground beef over the oil. Cover with chopped onions. Continue to layer, sliced potatoes, then the chili, beans, and sliced tomatoes. Arrange bacon over the top. Cover and bake for 1 hour and 30 minutes in a moderate over (350ºF.) Serves 8.
