1 1/2 lbs. hamburger
1 1/2 cups onion, chopped
32 oz. jar spaghetti sauce
1/3 cup water
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. basil
1 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. pepper
5 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
8 oz. mozzarella cheese, shredded

Recipe



Cook meat and onions until tender. Add sauce, water, salt, basil, oregano, sugar and pepper. Cook a couple of minutes to blend flavors. In 9 x 13 inch pan evenly spoon 1/3 meat mixture; arrange 1/2 potatoes on top. Repeat layering ending with meat. Cover tightly with foil. Bake at 375 degrees F. for 1 hour or until potatoes are tender. Remove foil, sprinkle with cheese. Bake 10 minutes or until cheese has melted.
