    oven 375, ungreased cookie sheets

    1 cup sugar
    1/2 cup butter or margarine
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 egg
    2 squares (1 oz. each) unsweetened baking chocolate, melted and cooled
    1 cup flour
    1/2 tsp. salt

    Mix sugar, margarine, vanilla, egg and unsweetened chocolate. Stir in flour and salt. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2" apart. Flatten each cookie SLIGHTLY with a glass dipped in sugar. Bake until set, 8-10 minutes. Cool slightly and remove from sheet. Cool cookies completely.

    Spread Peppermint Frosting on the cookie and then drizzle the Chocolate Drizzle on each cookie.

    Peppermint Frosting
    1/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
    3 Tablespoons milk, may nee a little more
    1/2 tsp. peppermint extract
    2 1/2 cups powdered sugar
    Mix all of the above ingredients together and beat until smooth.

    Chocolate Drizzle
    1/4 cup butter or margarine
    2 Tablespoons corn syrup
    1 6 oz. package chocolate chips, semi-sweet
    Melt the above ingredients in a small pan over low heat. Drizzle into frosted cookies.
