French-Vanilla Coconut-Macaroon Bars

package French Vanilla Cake Mix
1/3 cup margarine or butter
2 tablespoons water
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg
1 1/2 cups coconut
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Recipe
Heat oven to 350 F. Spray 13x9-inch pan with nonstick cooking spray. Place cake mix in large bowl. With pastry blender or fork, cut in margarine until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add water, vanilla and egg; blend well. Stir in coconut; mix well. Press dough evenly in spray-coated pan.
Bake at 350 F. for 16 to 22 minutes or until bars are golden brown and edges begin to pull away from sides of pan. Cool 15 minutes.
In small saucepan over low heat, melt chocolate chips, stirring constantly.* Drizzle over bars. Cool 1 1/2 hours or until completely cooled. Cut into bars. Yield: 24 bars
TIP: * To melt chocolate chips in microwave, place in small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on HIGH for 1 to 2 minutes or until melted, stirring once or twice. Or, place chips in small resealable plastic bag. Seal bag tightly; place in bowl of hot water until chips are melted. Wipe bag; cut off a tiny corner to create a small opening for drizzling.
