Jewish Biscotti (Mandel Brot)

1 stick butter
1 cup sugar
3 eggs
2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
pinch salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup chopped almonds
Recipe
MAKE THE DOUGH: Cream butter and sugar. Beat in 3 eggs, one at a time, sift and add in gently flour, baking powder and salt. Then almonds.
DIVIDE INTO STRIPS: Make 3 strips 2-inches wide on a greased cookie sheet. Handle with wet hands.
BAKE in 350°F oven 25 minutes.
SLICE AND TOAST: Slice when hot. Place pieces flat on cookie sheet. Toast at 350°F a few minutes, watching.
Freezes well.
