    Macadamia Nut Coconut Crisps

    1 cup flour
    1 cup (4-oz.) raw macadamia nuts, coarsely chopped
    1/2 cup shredded sweet coconut
    1/2 cup butter, softened
    1/2 cup light corn syrup
    1/2 cup dark brown sugar, firmly packed
    2 tsp vanilla
    1/3 cup (2-oz.) miniature semisweet chocolate chips

    Preheat oven to 375
    Whisk together flour, nuts and coconut in medium bowl. Set aside.
    Heat butter, corn syrup and brown sugar in 2-qt pan until boiling, stir occasionally
    Remove pan from heat, stir in vanilla
    Add flour mixture and chocolate chips, and mix until all ingredients are equally distributed
    Drop by teaspoonfuls onto well-greased cookie sheets, 2" apart
    Bake 8-10 minutes or until mixture spreads and bubbles
    Cool cookies for 1 minute on pan
    Immediately transfer to cool, flat surface with metal spatula

    Cookies will remain soft until completely cooled
