Maple Syrup Cookies

1 Cup Butter of Margarine
1 1/2 Tsp. Baking Powder
1/4 Cup Sugar
1/4 Tsp. Salt
1 1/4 Cup Bob's Maine Maple Syrup
1 Tsp. Cinnamon
1 Egg
1/4 Tsp. Nutmeg
1 Tsp. Vanilla
1/2 Cup Raisins (optional)
2 1/2 Cups Flour
In a large bowl cream together butter and sugar. Slowly cream in syrup. Add egg and vanilla. Sift together flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. Gradually add to butter mixture. Mix well. Stir in raisins. Drop by teaspoonfuls on a greased cookie sheet.
Bake 8 - 10 minutes at 375 degrees.
For bars sprad onto 13 x 9 jelly roll pan.
Bake 15 - 20 minutes or until golden brown. Frost with butter frosting when completely cool.
Maplecream Frosting
2/3 Cup Butter, softened
4 Cups Powdered sugar
1 1/2 tsp. Bob's Maple Syrup
2 to 4 Tbs. Milk
In a large bowl beat butter until fluffy. Gradually add powdered sugar, beating well. Beat in maple syrup and milk, adding enough milk for desired consistency.
