Orange slice candy cut in small, decorative Recipe
Preheat oven to 350 F. In a medium mixing bowl and using a pastry cutter, combine butter, confectioners' sugar, 11/2 cups flour and the orange zest until mixture holds together. Press into the bottom of an ungreased 9x13-inch pan. Bake for 15 minutes.
While crust is baking, combine marmalade and orange juice in a small bowl; set aside. In a medium mixing bowl, beat eggs with a wire whisk or electric mixer for about 1 minute. Add brown sugar and vanilla, and beat until smooth, 1 to 2 minutes. With a wooden spoon, stir in 2 remaining tablespoons of flour, baking powder and salt until well mixed. Stir in pecans and set aside.
After crust has baked, remove from oven. Leave oven on at 350 F. Spread marmalade mixture to the edges of crust with a rubber spatula. Gently spoon pecan mixture over marmalade and lightly spread to edges. Return to oven and bake 15 to 20 minutes longer, or until top is nicely browned. Cool and cut into 24 bars. Decorate each bar with a dab of white chocolate and small piece of orange slice candy. Makes 24 bars.
