    1 stick oleo
    1/2 cup raisins
    2/3 cup sugar
    1 cup flour
    1 egg
    1/2 tsp soda
    1/2 tsp cinnamon
    1 tsp nutmeg
    1/4 tsp cloves

    Recipe



    Rub bottom of cookie sheet with oleo
    Simmer raisins in 1/2 cup water until plump, drain off water, saving 2 Tbsp to use in recipe
    Melt oleo in saucepan
    Remove from heat, add sugar and the 2 Tbsp water from raisins; blend
    Stir in flour, soda and spices
    Add egg and beat well
    Add raisins and stir lightly to combine
    Pour into pan
    Bake at 350° about 20-25 minutes
    Cool in pan
