    3 medium onions, sliced
    1 small head cabbage, cut in wedges
    1 3-4 pound corned beef brisket

    1 cup apple cider
    1/4 cup packed brown sugar
    2 teaspoons grated orange peel
    2 teaspoons prepared mustard
    6 whole cloves
    1 14-ounce jar spiced apple rings

    Recipe



    Place onions and cabbage in crockery cooker. Trim fat from brisket; place meat atop vegetables. Stir togther cider, brown sugar, orange peel, mustard and cloves; pour over meat. Cover; cook on low-heat setting for 8-10 hours. Garnish platter with apple rings. Pass mustard; if desired.

    Makes 6-8 servings.
