    Blackberry Buttermilk Breakfast Cake

    1 3/4 cups Self-Rise flour
    1/2 cup white sugar
    1 cup buttermilk
    1/2 cup melted butter
    1 egg
    1 1/2 - 2 cups Blackberries

    Recipe



    Stir together dry ingredients and add berries. Mix lightly coating the berries. Combine egg, buttermilk and butter, stir into flour mixture with berries - Just to moisten. Do Not Beat.
    Butter sides and bottom of 8x8 inch square pan.
    Bake 350 for 20-25 min.
    Then Turn Up to 375 for about 5 min.
    Light brown crust. Cool slightly, cut into squares. Top with a little butter melted on warm cake and sprinkle with Powdered Sugar.
    This cake is so good you will have to eat two pieces!
