List of Ingredients




1 cup sugar
1 egg
½ cup buttermilk
½ cup cocoa
½ cup soft butter
Pinch of salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla
1-½ cups all-purpose flour
¼ cup boiling water



Recipe



Put all ingredients in a large mixing bowl in the order given . DO NOT begin to stir until water is added . Beat hard for 3 minutes.

Bake in an 8-inch greased square pan for 35 - 40 minutes in a 350 degree oven.

Remove from oven, while cake is still warm, break three plain milk chocolate candy bars in pieces and arrange on top of cake. When candy is soft spread across the cake for icing.
