    1 cup butter or margarine
    2 cups sugar
    grated rind of two oranges
    Grated rind of one lemon
    2 eggs
    2 1/2 cups sifted flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 cup buttermilk
    1 cup finely chopped walnuts
    juice of two oranges
    juice of 1 lemon
    3 tbs. rum

    . Cream together butter or margarine and 1 cup of sugar until
    light and fluffy.
    2. Add orange and lemon rind and eggs one at a time; beating well
    after each addition.
    3. Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with buttermilk,
    beating well until smooth.
    4.fold in nuts.
    5. Pour into a well-greased and floured tube pan.
    6. Bake in a 350-degree oven for about 1 hour.
    7. Strain fruit juices into a saucepan, and add remaining 1 cup
    of sugar and rum. Bring to a boil.
    8. Remove cake from oven when done pour the syrup over the cake
    in the pan. Allow cooling completely before removing from pan.
