    Vanilla Butter Nut Pound Cake

    3 cups sugar
    3 cups flour
    1 can (12 oz) milk
    2 sticks oleo
    5 large eggs
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    2 tablespoon vanilla
    butternut flavoring (to taste)

    Recipe



    Have oven cold. Cream shortening, sugar and salt. Add eggs, one at a time. Add flour and milk alternately, ending with flour. Fold in flavoring by hand. Bake in a greased tube pan for 1 hour and 45 minutes at 325 degrees. Start cake in cold oven. Do not open door of oven while baking. Remove from pan immediately.
