    1 1/2 cups watermelon rind
    1/4 teaspoon cloves
    1/2 cup raisins
    1 cup sugar
    1/8 teaspoon salt
    1/2 cup chopped pecans
    1 teaspoon cinnamon
    2 teaspoons flour
    1 two-crust pie pastry
    1/3 teaspoon nutmeg
    1/4 cup vinegar

    Cut green outer rind and most of pulp from watermelon rind; cut into 1/4-inch cubes. Combine cubes with water to cover in saucepan; bring to boil. Simmer until tender. Drain. Add sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, salt, flour, vinegar, raisins and nuts to cubes and blend well.

    Pour into pastry shell. Cover with pastry. Cut steam vents. Bake at 450 degrees until crust is browned. Reduce temperature to 350 degrees; bake until filling is set.
