    1 box (18.2 ounces) yellow cake mix
    1 cup chopped nuts
    1/2 cup shortening
    2 eggs
    1 cup caramel ice cream topping
    2 tablespoons hot water

    Frosting:
    2 cups powdered sugar
    1/3 cup softened butter
    3 tablespoons caramel topping
    2 tablespoons milk

    Recipe



    Mix all ingredients together and pour into ungreased 9x13-inch cake pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes. Remove from oven and cool. Then frost with frosting recipe below. To make frosting, mix together powdered sugar, butter, caramel topping and milk until smooth and spread over cooled carmelicks. Cut into bars.
