    1-1/2 cups of white sugar
    1/2 cup margarine
    2 eggs
    1/2 cup sour milk
    2 cups white flour
    1/2 cup cocoa
    2 teaspoons baking powder
    1 teaspoon baking soda
    pinch of salt
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    1 cup boiling water

    Recipe



    Cream sugar and margarine together. Beat in eggs. Combine dry ingredients thoroughly, then add to the sugar/margarine mix, alternating with the sour milk. Add the vanilla. Add boiling water last and beat just til smooth. If you have time, let it sit on the table to rise for 10 minutes to make a finer texture. Pour into a 13" x 9" greased and floured pan and bake at 375 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes. You may substitute hot coffee for the boiling water for a mocha flavour.
