Meem’s Blackberry Pie

CRUST: (makes 2 9” crusts)
2 cups flour
¾ cup Crisco, butter flavored
½ tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
Mix together with pastry blender, until it resembles peas. Then beat:
2 egg yolks
¼ cup ice water
1 Tbsp lemon juice or vinegar
Pour over flour mixture and mix until dough forms. Roll out on board dusted with flour and powdered sugar mixture. (using vinegar tastes better)
FILLING:
3 cups blackberries, if using frozen, let thaw completely
1½ cups sugar
3 heaping Tbsp flour, add more if using frozen berries
dash nutmeg
dash salt
Mix filling together, trying not to crush too many blackberries. Pour into crust and bake at 350° for 1 hour 10 minutes.
