    1 12 oz. package semi-sweet chocolate chips
    6 tablespoons butter
    2 tablespoons sugar
    2 teaspoons flour
    1 teaspoon hot water
    2 teaspoons vanilla
    3 eggs, separated
    pinch salt

    Topping:
    1 3 oz. package cream cheese, softened
    1/2 pint whipping cream
    3 tablespoons confectioners sugar
    1/2 teaspoon vanilla

    Preheat oven to 425F. Butter an 8-inch springform pan. In double boiler, melt chocolate chips with butter over 1 inch of simmering water. Mix in sugar, flour, hot water and vanilla. Remove from heat, let cool and stir in egg yolks, 1 at a time; cool. Beat egg whites with salt until stiff but not dry. Fold in chocolate mixture. Spread into pan. Bake for 15 minutes. The cake will be soft in the center. Cool.

    Topping:
    Beat cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add whipping cream, confectioners sugar and vanilla. Whip until thick enough to spread over top of cake. Chill several hours.

    Yield: 12 Servings
