Peanut Peanut Butter Cake

1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup plus 3 Tbs. unsalted butter, softened
2 eggs
1-1/2 cups all purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 cup milk
1/3 cup chunky peanut butter
3 cups confectioner's sugar
1-1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
Recipe
Preheat oven to 350°F. Combine first 2 ingredients in a bowl. Add 1/4 cup butter and mix well. Add eggs and mix thoroughly. Combine next 3 ingredients in another bowl. Add alternately with 3/4 cup milk to peanut butter mixture. Mix well. Pour into a greased 9 inch square baking pan. Bake 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack. Combine chunky peanut butter and remaining butter in a bowl. Add sugar, remaining milk and vanilla. Mix until smooth. Spread frosting over cooled cake.
