Toffee Dream Torte

Cake:
2 1/2 cups cake flour
2 cups sugar
2 teaspoons baking soda
3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup sour cream
1 cup coffee
1/4 cup coffee liqueur
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 large eggs
White Chocolate Buttercream:
1/2 cup heavy cream
4 ounces white chocolate, chopped
1/3 cup coffee liqueur (Kahlua)
2 cups confectioners’ sugar
1 cup butter, softened
Topping:
2 cups whipping cream
3 tablespoons brown sugar
6 1.4-ounce toffee bars, finely chopped (Heath Bars)
Recipe
In a large bowl combine first 5 ingredients, make a well. Add rest of ingredients and beat on medium speed for 2-3 minutes. Spoon batter into four 8-inch greased and floured pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-23 minutes. Let cool on wire racks. Heat cream in heavy saucepan. Stir in white chocolate until melted.
Stir in coffee liqueur. Chill 30 minutes. In a large bowl beat sugar and butter at least 5 minutes. Then beat in white chocolate mixture until smooth. Place the first cake layer on plate, spread with 1/4 of the buttercream. Repeat with other layers. Spread last 1/4 buttercream on sides and top of cake, very thinly, just to seal. Beat the whipping cream and brown sugar until very stiff. Spread on sides and top of cake. Gently press chopped toffee bars on sides and top of cake. Chill until ready to serve.
